In 2018 I travelled to the Preseli Mountains in West Wales to record the resonant properties of these singing stones. Carn Menyn is a neolithic site which is the quarry that the bluestones were quarried for Stonehenge.

Strategically placed, these stones, or lithophones have been used for millennia as percussive, potentially communicative means.

I wanted to capture the varied sounds of the different lithophones to use as a rhythmic underlay for the Cryptochrome record, 'Love Life' that I was producing.
